Player Development Curriculum

The primary goals of Bavarian United SC is player development and creating an environment that encourages our players to remain with the club as they progress to higher, more competitive levels. Coaches emphasize player development, while teaching technical & tactical skills that make up a complete player. Players learn soccer skills and develop the stamina, self-discipline, and confidence to play soccer at a high level.

Commitment Level

Soccer is a team sport and requires a commitment from all players on the team to attend practices and games. The expectation is to work hard together to improve both the individual and team level of play. Your child is expected to attend practices and games regularly - missing only occasionally. They should also be able to follow instructions from the coaching staff and work hard during practices and games.

Players need to be responsible for bringing all appropriate equipment and uniforms to practices and games, including soccer shoes, shin guards, water bottles, soccer ball, all parts of the standard uniform, etc. Players also need to let their coach know when they will miss a practice or game, as far in advance as possible.

Teams play approximately 7 to 9 league games in the WYSA State League or Southeast Classic League (SECL) during both fall and spring seasons for U11-U15, fall/winter for high school girls and winter/spring for high school boys. Most games are in the Milwaukee area with some games played in areas like Madison, Appleton, or Racine.

Teams participate in up to 3 tournaments seasonally. Tournaments may involve travel including overnight travel, and may take place during spring break and/or over holiday weekends.

Families are responsible for reimbursing coach travel expenses.
